In the beginning, we struggled with the idea of how to spread the message of supporting local. We eventually decided to make some stickers and began handing them out at our local Farmers Market. From there, we visited some of our favorite downtown spots, and a few of them even put our sticker in the window. We soon learned that many others were actively supporting local, and happy to help spread the SUPPORT THE LOCALS message.
Joining the #supporthelocals movement is easy, and doesn't have to cost you any money either. You can simply help spread the word about local business through word of mouth and social media. Being present at local events & fairs is also an easy way of supporting local. Or if you've supported a local business, leave them a positive review online. There are so many ways we can all help make our communities stronger.
